By reading these cards repeatedly you can become aware of your thoughts and behavior patterns. By becoming aware of these patterns, you can make choices about which direction you want your thoughts to take you. Excessive worry never solves anything!

Directions for use of Thoughts for Change Cards:
- Select up to 10 cards for initial focus (rotate through entire set).
- Keep cards easily accessible, so when you need or want them, they are readily available.
- Read cards daily, aloud when possible.
- Read cards when symptoms arise or distress occurs. Reading the cards at these times can help redirect your thoughts and keep you focused on the changes you wish to make. If your level of distress is high, read cards several times to increase likelihood of being able to redirect and reframe your thoughts.
- Notice thoughts, feelings and insights that arise when you read the cards, notice how your own responses change over time.
- Consider posting card(s) in places you will see them often. Use them in whatever way makes them your own. The more you read them the better it works.
